Just because they’re not aware, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take care

One in five pedestrians killed has had a few too many. However, just because they’re not aware doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take care.

Drivers, Rules 204-210 of The Highway Code are clear that you should watch out for vulnerable pedestrians and other vulnerable road users, which includes those walking home after a night out.

So:

  • Slow down! You can never control the consequences if you speed.
  • Always pay attention and stay alert. One lapse can last a lifetime.
  • Always watch out for pedestrians, especially those walking home after a night out.
