Take Another Look

In 2017, 9 motorcyclists were killed on Northern Ireland’s roads. During this time period, motorcycles made up 2.1% of all licensed vehicles but motorcyclists accounted for one in seven (14%) of all road deaths. This makes motorcyclists one of the most vulnerable groups on our roads.

So when you’re driving, always ‘Be Biker Aware’. Always look for motorcyclists coming out of junctions and at roundabouts. Remember motorcyclists and cyclists when checking your mirrors – they may be getting ready to overtake you or filtering through traffic and not directly behind you.

EVERY road death is one too many. Be Biker Aware – take another look.
