A child’s life could be gone in a flash
We are all vulnerable on the roads every day, but children travelling to and from school are particularly vulnerable.
That’s why all school buses are fitted with illuminated signs and flashing warning lights.
As a driver it is your responsibility to take extra care around vulnerable road users. So you MUST pay attention to these warning signals. Be on the lookout for vulnerable child pedestrians and be patient; give the buses extra time and space.
If you kill a child by careless driving, you face up to 5 years in prison.
