The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) has pledged its support for DOE’s ‘Share the Road to Zero’ Campaign which aims for Zero Road Deaths in Northern Ireland. Pictured pledging to the online campaign is Assistant Chief Fire Officer, Dale Ashford, NIFRS with Bridin Beckett, Advertising and Publicity Manager, DOE Road Safety.
In 2012 the number of road deaths in Northern Ireland reached its lowest level since records began in 1931. However, 48 families and communities suffered the loss of a member and every one of those road deaths was one too many.
As a key road safety partner in Northern Ireland, NIFRS is reminding everyone that we all have a responsibility to ‘Share the Road to Zero’ and is asking people to support the campaign to adopt safer behaviours on the roads and by personally pledging online at SHARE THE ROAD TO ZERO.com.
