NEW DRIVER EMAIL WEEK 10

Feel the risk around vulnerable pedestrians

OLD_MAN_4

When driving with pedestrians around there can be many risks.

For example:
• They may do something unexpected like step out on to the road.
• They will be harder to see than a car, especially in the dark or poor weather.
• They may try to cross roads in dangerous places where they may be difficult to see, e.g. between parked cars.
• They may be distracted by texting or listening to music on headphones.

As a driver it’s your responsibility to feel the risk and look out for vulnerable road users.
